great item. it does the job it is supposed to do.

Staff was very helpful and the part arrived in a timely manner.

I replaced a sensor valve to my hot water recirculating pump that I installed in 2015. Lowes sells the kit, but not just the sensor valve that eventually sticks open from stuff in the water. When this occurs, all facets (hot and cold) in the house are scalding hot. So, I ordered a new one from Premier which came in a couple days. Installing it was simple. People said I could just soak it in vinegar water to clean it out. I didn't want to take a chance that it wouldn't work, so I bought one. I did soak the old one and kept it. If it sticks in another 7 years and if I'm still alive, I'll put the old one back in again.

Received my value but it was defective. They immediately sent out a replacement. Works great. Great customer service!
Roger C.
Ordering the part went well and I got an email saying that the part had shipped. A couple of days later I received an email saying that the part was back ordered so I was not too pleased. I ended up getting the part from Amazon.
Robert T.
Received excellent customer service when I called with questions! The valve works as advertised.
Mike K.
The temperature sensing valve worked as advertised for about two years then just stopped working. I replaced it and we again have hot water, after a few seconds, in the guest bath. Disappointing that it only lasted for two years.
Robert M.
Works exactly as advertised. Hot water when needed without having to wait. Saves water and time.
Henry R.
Does a good joe at it's ourpose.
Myrna B.
Had system for many years but stopped working but replacement of this part fixed problem, all working well now.
Bertha M.
Used this for several years to get hotter water.
Richard
Product works fine but be prepared to replace the sensor valve every 1 1/2 - 2 years at $60 per. Playing the razor blade business model.
Wendy K.
Very happy with the sensor and it does deliver hot water in an instant. No more saving water in buckets before l shower.
Arthur C.
Good product. Our water is hard so it gums it up after maybe a year and half but worth it for hot water right away.
Michael W.
No joy here. The original valve lasted two years, that's right, just two measly years before it packed it.
Michael W.
Two years between valve failures is NOT good.
Ian W.
Easy to locate the part I needed on the manufacturers' website, who emailed me the link to order on line from Premium; where it was a smooth process to place order.
Part arrived very quickly and I Installed IT IN MINUTES.
Gerard O.
Have to complement you on your whole professional approach to my order. Your website was excellent and the delivery was amazing. From Reno to Cork Ireland without a hitch in record time. Restores my faith in the US of A. Thanks everyone. 10/10.
Jean K.
very good. it works. We are saving a lot of water because we have a large home. no waiting for the hot water anymore.
Ted H.
Original valve failed when mineral deposits in warm water prevented valve from closing. New valve works beautifully. Very happy to having my hot water recirc system working again.
philip b.
Great product. Really does get hot water within seconds.
James C.
We had initial success but after several weeks their problems maintaining hot water through out the house. After speaking with you service dept, they recommended replacing the sensor. We completed that today and waiting to see the results. Perhaps you can forward anther email asking about the system.

Talking with Nairobi was a real pleasure, she was very patient, understanding, and helpful. She solved my problem.

I've used a Watts Sensor Valve for Hot Water Recirculating System for 14 years. Two have failed during that time. Today I had the second one replaced and added a second Sensor Valve for Hot Water Recirculating System under a different sink. My rating would be 5 stars except for the failures, and the fact that the fittings and hoses supporting these valves are prone to leak--and mine have been installed and reinstalled by expert plumbers with quality parts. Sensor Valve for Hot Water Recirculating System.
These valves, along with the Watts Hot Water Recirculating System, greatly speed the delivery of hot water to faucets far from my hot water heater--which my wife really appreciates.
Debbie C.
Excellent experience--fast mailing with the correct part---would recommend this company and will not hesitate to use again;
STEVEN S.
While the water is warmer it still takes a while for it to get hot. We also are noticing warm water coming through the cold water side of our sink. Now we have to wait for cold water.
Kees R.
Why are these sensors getting noisy after a couple of years?
KEVIN S.
The salesgirl on the phone was fantastic, analyzed the problem and was very patient throughout the process as I know nothing about what im doing.
TED C.
This sensor unit was so easy to acquire with the help of the Order Help Desk person, and when promptly received, it was so easy to replace.
william f.
helpfull agent on phone. good price
DANIEL .
Quick delivery and it works as intended.
Charles B.
Emailed directions in advance of receiving the product. Step by step was simple and accurate. Piece of cake..removing and replacing went very smoothly.
Thank you.
Robert K.
I purchased the system in Aug 2014 and this is the 2nd valve I have had to install after i put in the system. It works well but I think the sensor would last longer if it is not running all the time. Timed is better depending on the quality of your water.
HENRY O.
I ordered a Sensor Valve, for a water re circulating system. First the member of your staff , who wrote my order so nice and helpful.. The valve delivery was two day's earlier than promised. The old one out and the new one in, twenties minutes by myself (A 92 year's young) so easy, even though it's not in a very easy place to get to. A few winds of thread tape, not too tightly, on the nut with a crescent wrench and finished. A check later to see if it is leaking no. It's an easy change and working as designed, fully satisfactory. THANK YOU. Henry O'Loughlin

Valve worked as advertised; we're VERY pleased with the quality and the reasonable price!
Joseph B.
Good quick service worked great after replacing old one
Roy H.
As to Photo, there is not Action to See. Appears to function properly. I had a Great Plumber. Oh! That's me!
Gary C.
Very good for a large house.
Ron B.
Unit worked very good
Glenn A.
Previous homeowner installed the system, but the sensor valve failed, constantly leaking hot water into the cold line. Replaced the valve and have instant hot water and very cold water again. The new valve is working great.
Jim G.
The item was ordered to replace a defective one...The customer service was excellant...The replacement was delivered quickly...I installed it for my customer and they are pleased with the system.
RANDY H.
This was a replacement valve since the first one did not function properly. I had a plumber over to check it twice. He installed everything OK but the only instant hot water in the house was the kitchen sink, IN BOTH SIDES OF THE FIXTURE. BATHROOM WATER IS STILL COLD WHEN HOT RUNS FOR A FULL MINUTE. IT'S A SHAME THIS PRODUCT WAS A WASTE OF MONEY, EXCEPT FOR DOING DISHES IN HOT WATER.
Amy B.
Really pleased with our Watts Hot Water Recirculation system. When we moved into the house, we were unaware we had the system and renovated the bathroom where the hot water circulation valve was located (thus throwing away the valve). We finally ordered and installed the part and we went from waiting 4-5 minutes for hot water to 5-10 seconds. So pleased with this product!
Herschel S.
Just wish that lasted longer. At 77 years old it is sort of hard to get to the back of the vanity.
David H.
Was exactly what I needed. A very easy fix. The Watts circulating pump gives hot water almost instantly to a bathroom sink and shower that is approximately 70 feet from the hot water tank in our single floor ranch style home.
JJ D.
Unable to install because of travel restrictions to job site (corona). As a result, we do not know how or if it works correctly. Sorry.
Chris P.
I was replacing one I had installed about 3 or 4 years ago.the product work very good but I don't think it should have gone bad so soon and I filter my city water when it enters the house. This replacement cost about $54 I think that's expensive.
Kees R.
This was the second time in I think 10-12 years I ordered this sensor because I thought it failed to work properly. Ordering and installing it was not a problem,Thanks
Kees Ruzius, ruzkees@charter.net
DARWIN L.
The second one works fine; bought the original one and it did not work. took it back to lowes and they replaceed it. ok now water is at a perfect temperature.
James T.
Your product fails and does not last very long.
Randoth W.
wish it would come apart to clean out the mineral deposits when it fails to work properly, fifty dollars for cheap plastic is a bit expensive
LEON B.
Missed the hot water when the original quit working after several years of use. Now I am back on track and saving money from not having to waste water.
Stan G.
i no longer get cold water from the installed sensor location. It is now slightly warm. not a huge deal but worth mentioning
Tom G.
Works great! Replacing the old one with this new one solves the problems I was having with the water being too hot. It also quit using up my soft water.
Philip H.
This hot water system recirculating valve to replace a 10 year old valve. The new valve works like a charm and we no longer get hot water from the cold tap. Pleased!
Jack r.
Works exactly as advertised and was easy to install. Hope it lasts.
Patrick M.
Easy to install and it works well.
Timothy S.
Thanks for the great service.
Timothy S.
The help I got over the phone from your tech excellent. I was able to try to repair my unit before I determined it was faulty with the help of him. The new unit was ordered and shipped with ease
Jim H.
The staff knew what my problem was when I explained the problem to them.
Thank you
Jim
Edward H.
Works great, no wasted water in the winter. We love it.
NED S.
The product worked as anticipated.
Larry O.
We really do LOVE it! Our master bath is on the far side of our home, with the hot water tank on the other side. Needless to say, the Watts valve saves many gallons of water by giving us instant hot water. We have told several of our friends about this amazing product.
Joseph s.
I bought 2 one was defective
Connie was very helpful in sending a new one
I have used these for seversl years before having to recently replace them
They work fine
Sammy F.
Works as promised.
However, I could not figure out how to clear the screen on the old one.
Steve h.
I got two values for different branches. Had one bad valve that they replaced. The second one still leaves water in the kitchen a little warm for about a minute, however I usually want warm water there anyway. Overall I'm happy with the system and love having hot water in seconds and not minutes.
Alan K.
The sensor brings hot water to the hot faucet but it also brings hot water to the cold faucet. I've tried everything I'm told to do to remedy this problem but nothing seems to work. It's probably costing me more to use the recirculation pump then to just waste cold water to get hot water without it. And I live in California where water is not cheap!
Henry R.
I bought this valve to replace the valve in my Premier hot H2O recirc system. It does well, but sometimes allows too much hot water into cold water piping.
Patrick E.
The product was exceptional and I received it in a short time. Excellent service.
Dennis L.
After 8 years of use our Watts HW circulator valve stopped working (no hot water was coming through. I noticed the cold water outlet of the valve had white discoloration, probably from calcium mineral (I understand that some people have been able to clean that off with CLR liquid used for showers, etc).
I ordered the valve replacement and it came with two sets of tubing colored black and blue (1/4" and 1/8"). I had a plumber install the new replacement and he used a better, metal clad, riser supply tubing with the result that the two sets of plastic tubing are worthless (it cost me over $10 for that). System works fine now and I am saving the older valve, clean it and keep it just in case.
JAMES P.
It fixed the problem.
ralph,
It only lasted 9 months and then I had to shell out another $50.
Pete,
I purchased and installed a second sensor valve at the kitchen faucet. We had hot water in the cold water faucet due to the new valve being stuck open. Watts customer service sent a new valve and the system now works as advertised. Thanks Watts for a product that provides instant hot water, saves a bundle of money on my water bill and conserves our precious water.
Ted,
The valve was stuck open causing the cold water to be very hot. I would have to run a gallon or more of cold water through the faucet before it became cold. I put in a new sensor and that cured the problem. I do have very hard water. Even with a water softener, calcium built up in the old valve. I did save the old valve and I will soak it in vinegar. If (when) the new valve fails, I will reinstall the old valve again to see if that works. Otherwise, I am very happy with the system. It is nice to have hot water or cold water when I want it.
Ted,
The sensor valve was stuck open. The water in the cold faucet was always very hot. In order to get cold water, I would have run a gallon or more of cold water through the faucet. I put in a new sensor valve and that cured the problem. I do have very hard water, but even with a water softener, minerals still built up in the valve. I did save the old valve, so I will try soaking it in vinegar and reinstall it when the new one fails. My wife and I are very happy with the system otherwise. It is well worth the cost to enjoy having hot water fast.
tim,
we weren't getting hot water instantly so I called the supplier and they sent me a new one free of charge cause the old one was only 10 months old and still under warranty, installed new one and back in business. hope this one lasts a lot longer, we shall see!
Rod,
Cold Water side was hot and would not cool down. Apparently water minerals had deposited on valve and it was stuck open. I ordered a replacement sensor valve and installed it and everything works great. Customer service was very informed and helpful. Reason for 4 star is that in my opinion, valve should be designed to be soaked in mild solvent to remove mineral deposit rather than require replacement for plus $40 including shipping & tax.
Phil,
1. Was not getting immediate hot water at our kitchen sink. So, I did what was suggested on Watts Premier site. They advised to connect a second sensor in parallel with the first one at this kitchen sink. With two extra stainless steel water supply hoses (short ones), Two sensors at this sink. I did just that. It worked! Now we get instant warm water. Apparently one sensor was not pushing enough hot water into the water line to offset the cold water.
2. For those who mentioned cross threading the water supply lines damaging the threads on these sensors, let me give you some advice. Be very very careful when you are connecting the water supply line to the sensor. Finger tighten only till it is almost completely on. DO NOT FORCE IT! It...WILL...thread on smoothly if you get it started correctly. If it binds after only a couple of threads, back it off and start over. Only after you have successfully threaded the water line to it, should you use a wrench for a little more tightening. Finger tighten first. Then turn on the water. If there is a little leakage, tighten a little more with your wrench. Be very careful when doing this. DO NOT tighten these connections down like a gorilla! DO NOT use vice grips! Better to use a wrench instead of pliers really. If you only have pliers, DO NOT grip them hard crushing your water connector and the sensor.
keith,
I had the water heater replaced and the watts recirculating system installed by a plumber at the same time. I had instant hot water at the farthest sink where the sensor valve was installed but not at the other 2 sinks. watts tech advised to have a sensor installed at the next farthest sink and maybe both sinks so, I ordered 2 more sensors. I called a different plumber because the original plumber told me to get a new pump. the new plumber installed 1 sensor and I was satisfied that all 3 sinks were getting hot water instantly. on the way out the new plumber looked at the hot water heater and said the pump was installed upside down on the cold pipe instead of the hot pipe. he installed the pump correctly and everything is fine. the sensors are working fine. however, i am a little worried after reading the reviews about the sensors lasting a long time.
Donald, P
This unit does everything as advertised. There is, however, a problem in the area I live. The water contains calcium. This builds up on the small valve and it ceases to operate. I dis not know about this until my valve failed to operate after about 1 year. I called the company and a new valve was sent to me at no cost. After installing the new valve I cut open the old one and found the problem was not a malfunction but a large amount of calcium build up on the valve preventing it from operating. I called the tech support and told them what I had found and was told that if it happened again I could remove the valve and soak it it vinegar to dissolve the calcium.
Susan, W
Very disappointed. Our valve had failed and we were getting hot water in the cold line. Put in the new valve. Worse than ever. So disappointed. Plan to call for a refund.
tim,
easy to order, easy to install and works great
Dwight, B
I have used the Watts Recirculating pump for 7 years. I could not get cold water in the kitchen sink. I contacted Watts about the problem and they told me how to test the valve. I did as they instructed and found that the valve finally went out. I replaced the valve. Everything is working great again.
Rick,
Great service, great product, great price!

I bought a brand new recirculating system in December of 2015. It was installed in February 2016. In May of 2016 my cold water started getting warm all the time. It never got really cold and my hot water wasn't as hot as usual. I did the test outlined in the manual and had a constant flow of warm water from the cold tap that did not slow down. The manual indicated that the sensor valve was bad. The system had only been running for 4 months. I called Watts Premier and was informed that the PC manufacturing code was over a year I told them the warranty in the manual states that the warranty is within 12 months of purchase NOT 12 months from the date of manufacture. They said I need to provide a dated sales receipt with the model number. I told them my receipt was from PayPal as I ordered the system on eBay. My receipt does show the model number. OK - GET READY FOR THIS ---- THE WARRANTY IS VALID ONLY IF YOU BUY FROM AN AUTHORIZED SELLER! The warranty is void if you buy the system on eBay. How on earth would a customer (end user) know this quirk and how would you know if the place you buy a system from is "authorized"?? Stay away from this product. The sensor valve has a very short life and costs around $45. Searching ratings on this system shows that the sensor valve failure is quite a common problem. I should have done more research BEFORE buying. Watts has always been a good company and I made a bad decision buying this system.
Sam, H
I purchased the Watts pump and kit in March of 2015. It worked fine up until Dec. I did the test on the valve per the manual and it failed to open. After emailing the results to the service representative and trying several things to get the valve open, the service rep. ordered a replacement valve. I received a new valve on Jan. 15 and installed it that night, but I didn't plug the pump into the AC outlet. To my surprise, I had warm water the next morning at that wash basin without the pump running. Apparently the hot water is being attracted to the cold water through convection.
I do think the valve could be made to last longer.
Bruce,
This is the replacement I've needed for a year and it works great.
Louis, M
OI am a retired aerospace engineer. Over a 30 year period I served on numerous design review and failure review boards. I have had 3 of these valves in my house for the past 8 years.
three have failed stuck open and one failed stuck shut. My hot water temperature is 20 degrees F under the 145 degree upper temperature specification. Pressure is set at 60 psi. The valves have always had soft water on both sides so calcification should not be a problem. I suspect creep in the ABS body. I would like to find an all brass replacement valve. It would be more expensive, but cost of ownership would be lower, and periods of non operation waiting for a replacement would disappear.
Wayne, S
The Premier Recirculating System works great. I just had to replace the valve because I broke the original when I had to replace the faucet.
Robert, P
After conducting sensor valve operation test, closed cold water stop valve and open the cold water faucet the water never entirely stopped running. .Occasionally we have warm water when the timer does not call for it. But in the other hand, when the timer does call for it, it is working well. When calling customer service, sometimes it takes up to a half an hour before you can talk to someone.
Rich,
I originally installed this watts system a few years ago and then it stopped working, so I emailed Watts customer support for advise on trouble shooting the problem well they never answered me. I noticed the pump was running so I guessed it was the sensor . I looked on line and most places want to sell the kit but Premier had the best price for only the sensor which is what I needed. It came fast and that was my problem it works good now.It probably saves a lot of wasted water if you dont have this unit installed while waiting for the water to warm up.Im happy with the product but the sensor should last longer.
Jeremy, T
I bought this water valve to replace a previous water valve that stopped working after about 2 years. I am docking this one star because it probably should have lasted a little longer. I am not docking it more than that because I understand different environmental things can occur, i.e. calcium and other minerals in the water supply. Overall, this product along with the recirculating pump is fantastic. It does exactly what I need it to do. My home was re-plumbed via the attic years before I bought the house (due to polybutylene). Due to the plumbing, my water would take minutes and waste a lot of water in order to get warm. This time greatly increases during the winter months. All around it's a great product. My water is instantly warm (again) and I don't waste gallons of water a day. I do hope this valve lasts longer than the first one. I should also mention fantastic support. They called me and walked me through the troubleshooting process and determined why my water wasn't warm (bad valve).
James, N
I installed the Watts recirculation pump and temperature valve kit about 1 year ago. The valve causes a very annoying tapping sound in the pipes when the pump is not running. Recirculation functions well to provide instant hot water.
