The 5SV Reverse Osmosis System was one of the first systems on the market and yet today it still provides great quality drinking water. This system installs under your sink with a 3 gallon storage tank which will provide you with enough water for your daily use. Changing the filters is as simple as: removing the filter housings by unscrewing the filter bowls, dropping in your new filters, and then screwing back on the filter housings.
The 5SV Reverse Osmosis Filtration System uses a 4-Stage Filtration based upon separate treatments.- Sediment - A 5 Micron Sediment Filter traps sediment and other particles like dirt, silt and rust which affect the taste and appearance of your water.
- Carbon - Two 5 Micron Carbon Block Filter reducing Chlorine, and other materials that cause bad taste and odor.
- 50 GPD Membrane - A Semipermeable Membrane removes TDS, Sodium and a wide range of contaminants such as Chromium, Arsenic, Copper, Lead as well as Cysts, such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium.
- Carbon In-Line (GAC) - A high quality In-Line Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) Final Polishing Filter is used after the water storage tank to remove any remaining chlorine or other chemicals that cause bad taste or odor before being dispensed.

This warranty will be void if defects occur due to failure to observe the following conditions:
- The Reverse Osmosis System must be hooked up to a potable municipal or well cold water supply.
- The hardness of the water should not exceed 10 grains per gallon, or 170 ppm.
- Maximum incoming iron must be less than 0.2 ppm.
- The pH of the water must not be lower than 2 or higher than 11.
- The incoming water pressure must be between 40 and 100 pounds per square inch.
- Incoming water to the RO cannot exceed 100° F (40° C).
- Incoming TDS/Total Dissolved Solids not to exceed 1800 ppm.
- Do not use with water that is micro-biologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system
This warranty does not cover any equipment that is relocated from the site of its original installation. This warranty does not cover any charges incurred due to professional installation. This warranty does not cover any equipment that is installed or used outside the United States of America and Canada.

I bought this system to get enough filtered water for my greenhouse. My goal was to get 15 gallons of water a day. It turned out I’m getting 30+ gallons. My friend installed it for me and he removed the tank. We channel the water tube into a 35 gallon barrel with a shut off device. It works great! First few hours the water was coming out around 10 or 12 PPM, then slowly went to 5 PPM. I couldn’t measure how clean it was by the time the barrel filled up, but 5 is good enough for me. The customer service was also helpful and I could get all the answers to my technical questions.
I would recommend this system to everyone for a home and even for commercial use.

This is actually the second system from you that we've had. The first performed well for many years, but recently we had issues with pressure and having tried everything to fix the problem to no avail, we decided just to get a whole new system. We just installed it this morning and we are going through the process of filling and emptying it three times before use, but feel that it should perform well. You have made a number of improvements that have made installation much easier...and we certainly are appreciative of that. We've found your products to be excellent quality and your service personnel very helpful. We look forward to many more years using our new system.

This Watts RO 5SV is replacing a Watts RO Model WP-5 (same configuration) that I bought in June 2004. The old unit was still working fine but I decided it was time to refresh my equipment.
Our City of Irvine water has a ph of 8, TDS of 218 and hardness of 5 grains per gallon. I just tested the the RO water and it has a ph of 6.5, TDS of 14 and hardness of <1 grain per gallon. Those are perfect numbers produced by this new unit.
Because my city water is better than average, I can go twice the recommended time for changing filters. Even with the recommended schedule, the cost of Watt’s filter kits and membranes are quite inexpensive.
Over the years, including recent calls, Premier H2O’s technical support has been fantastic.
For those interested in my photo, my unit is in my garage beside a utility sink. Instead of running the waste water to the trap, I have it open (just to right of unit) so I can see the flow (or not) of waste water. The RO water line runs 12 feet to my refrigerator then another 8 feet to our kitchen sink.

For 20 yrs I have off line recommended your product as the best off the shelf DIY protection from questionable water sources. As a professional R&D Environmental Engineer I don't officially endorse any product that a home owner would use, but I have regularly used your product in my research laboratories (to include the NASA water recycle technology Lab, ARC) as a stand in bench scale pilot for a full up RO treatment plant product water.
I have also always installed one in my rental houses as I have traveled about, and off line recommended it to friends and colleagues for at risk households and the only truly credible consumer product in the field (based on years of real analytical data).
Unfortunately this last time I ordered the unit (this month) I noted that I can no longer get the 6 stage version with UV. To be clear, I am a PhD and PE level water treatment engineer immune to marketing BS, so don't bother. The removal of the UV option degrades your real world credibility greatly, and removes you for confidant use for at risk households that need real protection not feel good taste and odor control.
As a real supporter of your product I advise you reconsider the elimination of the professional level UV post process unit process option.

I have an older Watts Premier WP5-50 systems that has served my house well for 5 years. We use it a lot and I did not like the amount of waste water this system produces as well as the noise from the kitchen sink. I decided to purchase a new Watts Premier 5SV RO system with ZeroWaste Retro Fit kit.
This system would replace my WP5-50 system in my kitchen and I would move the WP5-50 to my bathroom where usage is much lower.
The new 5SV system installed pretty much the same as the WP5-50, but with the added ZeroWaste system, it required paying attention to details. I also tee off of my water output to supply my ice maker and cool water supply of the refrigerator. System installed super easily though. The pump is very quiet, in fact my wife could not tell when it is running. Even though I have good water pressure, the boast pump of the ZeroWaste kit really provides a good supply of RO.
I moved my air-gap faucet to my both room, used the new air-gap faucet in the other bathroom sink. I purchased a non-air-gap faucet that matched my kitchen sink for the ZeroWaste RO system.
As far as operation goes, I have very hard water at 235 ppm. Both RO systems supply water in the 20 to 25 ppm range. Very good tasting water and no mineral stains in my sink and tray of the refrigerator.
This is an excellent system, one that has already proven to provide years of excellent service.

I purchased the 5 stage RO system well over 10 years ago, have bought replacement parts at recommended intervals and have been happy. Recently moved and sort of destroyed the set up. Grabbed the manual with diagram, bought a few hardware parts including saddle valve and faucet, as well as all membranes and filters. System is as good as brand new again which is good, the water in the new house was literally horrible. Set up the system to filter the refrigerator water and ice too. Family is happy, I am happy.

Purchased this product about four years ago through Costco. It has worked fine for about four years. Now it constantly drains water to the point it has doubled our water bill. The people at Watts are really nice and try to be helpful. Their solution however is just to keep replacing parts to try to fix the problem. Its more cost effectve at this point to replace the system. We are however replacing it with another brand to try to get more long term results. If your looking at this system, based on my experience, plan on it lasting about 4 years.

I've been using Watts Premier for over 10 years, my mother even got a system after tasting water from mine. The only issue I ever had was after a number of years I had to replace the faucet.
I moved into a new house a couple of years ago which had a GE RO system. I have not been satisfied with it at all especially when it comes time to change filters. The filters cost for the GE system is very expensive. I decided to replace the system with this one which is the same system I have had in the past. This system is only costing me 70 bucks more than the filter replacement for the GE system.

Perfect. I love the unit, it comes with everything you need to get it connected and running. This is my second RO system from PremierH2O and they both work great. The only downside is understanding before you buy if you have a garbage disposal and how to connect the drain pipe. I understand you need an extra mount to do that correctly. I did it my way and it seems to work, but I would have liked to know that initially. Other then that one thing, I think the system and the construction is very nice. You need a lot of room for this system so be prepared to give up all or most of your under counter space, but I think it is totally worth it. I love the faucet that comes with this unit and it had all the parts to install perfectly and nicely on the counter. The water quality is silky and delicious. PERFECT. I have a nice set of 6 glass bottles in my fridge now and I gave my friend a dispenser for her fridge with a spigot and a glass bottle and she is loving it. She brings it over to refill every now and then.

We have been using the TFM-5SV for many years (10+?). We live in the country and have a deep rock well that has good, but very hard, water. Without RO it isn't very tasty and makes a horrible cup of coffee. With this RO we get great drinking water, ice (the ice maker is fed from the RO tank), and **coffee** (tea, etc.). We wouldn't want to live without it! I shopped around quite a bit before deciding on this. It seems like about as good as it gets functionally, and at the best possible price. Their replacement filters are also inexpensive and they ship promptly when we order. They send a very occasional email that helps me remember to change the filters. Highly recommended!

We've been using Premier R/O systems in our home for over 20 years, and we've just replaced our last system with a new one.
The system is simple, straightforward to install (though I'd leave several hours for the task), and practical when it comes to maintenance and replacement filters.
This one was slightly damaged during shipment, but the customer service guys were wonderful in getting me the help and replacement parts I need, and in walking me through the process of getting it right.
Now that we've installed the third unit, we're drinking the best tasting water again. I realized that because of having the R/O systems in our home, we've all become "water snobs", and very picky about the quality of our drinking water. It really is delicious.
We'd do it all again. We have... three times now!
